In the 1920s, Giovanni "Nico" Causin left Treviso for Venice, where he and his wife Emma opened a bar. Their handcrafted gelato quickly became a local favorite, especially the iconic Gianduiotto, loved by Angelina Jolie as well.

You should definitely stop by Gelateria Nico, it’s one of my favorite places in Venice. Their Gianduiotto is a must: a block of chocolate-hazelnut gelato topped with fresh whipped cream. But honestly, I also just love sitting there with a glass of prosecco, right by the water, watching the sun go down over the Giudecca. Pure magic.
